Fact or Fiction? In an effort to establish mental illness as a topic of ease and comfort, this project was initiated to debunk the myths and stigmas surrounding mental health, starting with what we know as post-traumatic stress disorder.

Project PTSD Awareness was created on campus in efforts to create awareness and discussion around a very stigmatized conversation. The effort to transform how we think of mental illness shifts when we can identify what we already may know as either fact or myth.

By bringing to life the information in a much more interactive and approachable way, disorders that are very much a part of our society become a little less intimidating.

The next step would be to bring this project to life and give it standing in the outside world. The same design approach could be made for all other mental disorders recognized by the DSM-5 to optimize our knowledge and exposure to mental illness.
